3 layer blade with SG2 core and hammered (“tsuchime”) texture with black fluorine resin coating that is permanently applied to the blade; the blade is then ground to a matte finish with a highly polished edge for a beautiful and long lasting appearance
Thin blade is hand ground and honed to a razor sharp 12 degree double bevel blade angle
Traditional Japanese octagonal two-tone pakkawood handle with white ring is ergonomically shaped for a secure grip and is permanently and seamlessly installed to the blade
