The Ohira Japanese Natural Stone from Imanishi is the perfect stone for final edge finishing on your high-quality kitchen knives; Approximately 9000 grit
Quarried from the Ohira mine near Kyoto, Japan
The fine particle size and high hardness makes this an ideal stone for polishing to a near-mirror kasumi finish, but will be cut slower than softer stone varieties
Type 30 refers to the size of the stone, which in this case is approximately 8 x 2.8″ and is 1.6″ thick; Weighs 3.3 lbs
This natural stone will benefit from the use of a nagura stone, which is included, for creating a slurry on your sharpening stone that will aid the sharpening process
Do not soak this stone, simply apply water to the surface when ready to use; Wipe clean and dry when done
